Georgia Latino International Film Festival 2019 #GALFA2019

The Georgia Latino Film Festival (#GALFF2019)  is a four-day event dedicated to bringing awareness of films and content made by latino/as or international to a worldwide audience. Held annually in the Hollywood of the South during Hispanic Heritage Month, the GALFF is committed to the belief that Latino actors, directors and industry professionals deserve the same opportunities as other film professionals. In addition to film screenings, each year the GALFF presents over 10 exciting workshops and networking events designed to educate, motivate,  develop careers and enthuse the festival goers. The festival traditionally opens with a Welcome Awards Reception and Movie premiere, followed by independent film screenings, master classes, panels, celebrity conversations, entertainment and talent discovery programs.  In 2019, the GALFF will expand its program to showcase more new media, (i.e. you tubers, gamers) as well as, television-related content. 2019 brings a new focus on entertainment technology and initiatives to grow the number of Latina filmmakers. The Georgia Latino Film Alliance and Festival was originally conceived as a Hispanic Heritage event for the Georgia community to engulf themselves in latino culture through film. Since its inception in 2012, the festival has been held in Atlanta, Marietta, Norcross and other cities across Ga . Founder Jose Marquez and Yvette Moise foresaw the GALFA+F as a channel to promote diversity in the film and television industry and give the next generation the skills needed to succeed in the industry. Let’s get Camera Ready. Today it has become the fastest growing film festival in the country and is recognized as a major event for bringing new Latino talent to the forefront, both behind and in front of the camera. The festival is well on its way to become the nation’s best place to find of Latino film and TV enthusiasts, directors, actors and writers on the east coast with last year attendance of well over 1,500. The 8th annual Georgia Latino Film Festival is hosted by the great city of Atlanta, October 17th -20th 2019. ***Thursday October 17th 2019*** High School Student Film Career Training/ Screenings (Students Only) The Art Institute of Georgia - 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road N.E., 100 Embassy Row, Atlanta, GA 30328 The Georgia Public Broadcasting 260 14th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318  Turner Warner Building 1050 Techwood Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
